Who we are
Yaldabaoth is an independent game published by Authades at authades.com. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a user id. If you sign in with Patreon or SubscribeStar, we also store your account id on that service.
- Membership status: whether you have an active Patreon or SubscribeStar membership and its tier, plus the access tokens those services give us so we can re-check it. We never see your payment details.
- Game data: data the game sends to our servers while you play, such as specimens, placements and related requests.
- Technical data: IP address, browser details and request logs that our hosting providers process to run and protect the site, including rate limiting.
Why we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To check whether you have an active membership, which unlocks exclusive content. The base game is free to play.
- To run the game, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Processors
- Supabase: authentication and database (stores your account, membership status and game data).
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, file storage (R2) and security.
- Patreon / SubscribeStar: only if you choose to sign in with them, to confirm your membership. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.
Cookies
We use two essential cookies, yb_at and yb_rt, to keep you signed in. They are HttpOnly and secure. They are removed when you log out and expire after 30 days. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Retention
We keep account and membership data while your account exists. Logs are kept only as long as our providers retain them. Ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
